I would like to know how many private landlords were permanently struck off and banned from renting out property to private tenants in the council area between 2017-18 and 2022-23.

If possible, I would like this information to be broken down year-by-year. In addition, I would like any reasons for landlords being struck off to be provided as well if possible.

2020-21 - Zero
2021-22 - Zero

2022-23 - The number landlord applications that were refused is less than 5. Due to the low numbers involved, release of this information could result in the identification of individuals. This information is therefore exempt under Section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Personal Information.

The reasons for applications being refused include a landlord failing to meet the fit and proper person criteria.
