Enquiry about municipal industrial-scale garbage bins (for example 660L bins and larger)

Section 1: Garbage bin Models and sizes
•     What sizes of large garbage bins does your council employ? Could you tell us how many of each size of bin your council uses?
•     What are the exact dimensions of each type of large garbage bin. Blueprints or engineering drawings (such as CAD files) would be especially useful.

Section 2: Garbage bin Distribution and Usage
•     What are the locations of the industrial garbage bins within the town/city? A map of the distribution of these bins would be useful, with colours to separate the different types of bins if possible.
•     If known, how many of each type of bin are visible from the street/pavement
  
•     For each type of bin, is there any information label that needs to be on the bin (for example what materials go into the bin such as recyclables)? Which ones? What do they look like? Could you give us the image files (preferably in a .svg or .pdf format; .png or .jpeg also works)?

Section 3: Maintenance of Bins
•     For each type of bin, how are the bins emptied? What specific points on the bin are used to hook onto the collection trucks? Are there any other points on the bins that need to remain free of obstructions to allow for attaching elsewhere?
•     How often do the various types of bins get emptied?
•     Who decides what garbage bins are used where?
•     Who cleans and maintains the bins? How is this done? How often does this process happen?
•     Are there any current plans of replacing or supplementing the current models of bins with other models or another solution for dealing with garbage altogether? If so, what are the dimensions of the new models being considered (dimensions, attachment points, etc.) and or what are the ideas for future waste disposal solutions.

Section 4: Public Perception of Bins
•     Are complaints received about the garbage bins in your council? If so, what are they related to? Are there any related to their appearance?
•     Where do the complaints come from (Categories of: Households, Businesses, Public) and how many are there from each category?
•     Is there any positive feedback received about the garbage bins? If so, how many and from which of the afore mentioned categories?

3d. Commercial bins are serviced at least once a week.  Domestic communal bins and recycling point bins serviced every 3 weeks.

3e. Dependant on building type/location, requests from constructors/tenants are reviewed by waste team officer and decision on communal or individual household bins is taken after consultation.

3f. Householder responsibility for maintaining the bins condition.

3g. No changes to current bin models being used are planned.
