I am looking at collecting information regarding Dog Control Notice’s.  Therefore, can you please provide the information to the following:

1. How many owners have been in breach of a Dog Control Notice
2. How do you store the information of those who have been in breach of a Dog Control Notice
3. Is the information of the above available to share
4. How many Dog Control Notices have been discharged
5. How many Dog Control Notices have been amended
6. How are the Dog Control Notices monitored

Response 07-03-2023

1. Our process of dealing with a breach of a Dog Control Notice (DCN) involves sending out a warning letter to the address of the recipient of the DCN. This has happen on 4 occasions and no further actions had been necessary after this warning letter.

2. On the Scottish DCN database and on the council public notice register

3. The information on the council public notice register is available here: http://www.moray.gov.uk/downloads/file147250.pdf

4. Our records show that 3 DCN have been cancelled.

5. Not applicable. A DCN would be discharged or cancelled and re served rather than being amended.

6. DCN are put on the Scottish DCN database and are monitored by the serving officer.
