Response 03-03-2023

1. & 2. Information not held. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

Moray Council does not contract with any private companies to provide temporary accommodation to homeless people/rough sleepers and therefore have not paid any compensation.

We currently use 122 units of temporary homeless accommodation comprising of 93 dispersed council tenancies in the community and 29 tenancies supplied by another registered social landlord in the area.  The RSL tenancies are three separate units of managed, communal style accommodation. We have also not paid any compensation to the RSL for the repair/damages of any of our tenants. In the event of any damages, beyond normal wear and tear, we would undertake these repairs ourselves.
