1. How many children were excluded from school after being found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or in possession of alcohol either on school premises or during a school trip in the financial year April 2019 to 2020? Please provide any additional detail as appropriate.

2. How many children were excluded from school after being found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or in possession of alcohol either on school premises or during a school trip in the financial year April 2020 to 2021? Please provide any additional detail as appropriate.

3. How many children were excluded from school after being found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or in possession of alcohol either on school premises or during a school trip in the financial year April 2021 to 2022? Please provide any additional detail as appropriate.

4. How many children were excluded from school after being found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or in possession of alcohol either on school premises or during a school trip so far this financial year (since April 2022)? Please provide any additional detail as appropriate.

As the number is less than 5, the information cannot be disclosed as individuals involved could potentially be identified - this would constitute a breach of the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998. Therefore, this information is exempt from disclosure under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act Scotland (FOISA) 2002 on the grounds that it is personal information.
