I would be grateful if you could send me the following information in regard to pupil expulsion in the schools in your local authority area:
 
1. Please could you tell me how many pupils have been expelled in each of these years:

(a)2019
(b)2020
(c)2021
(d)2022 to date

And

(i) The reason why

Update received 04-11-2022: Please change the wording of my current request to relate to “temporary exclusions” and “permanent exclusions” in the schools in your local authority area.

1. The response to your request can be found here. The table shows the number of ‘distinct’ pupils excluded, total exclusion incidents and the number of exclusions by circumstance covering 2019 to 2022. Please note that the pupil can be excluded more than once and that more than one circumstance can be used for an exclusion.

There were no permanent exclusions over the period covered.
