For the past five academic years in your Primary and Secondary schools:
1. How many weapons have been confiscated in each of your primary and secondary schools for the past five years?

2. How many times have banned substances (drugs) been confiscated in each of your primary and secondary schools for the past five years?

3. How many times has alcohol been confiscated in each of your primary and secondary schools for the past five years?

1. 2017 - 11
2018 - 20
2019 - 27
2020 - 14
2021 - 24
2022 - 7

2. & 3. Any incidences of drugs / alcohol confiscations would be recorded in individual pupil files. As this information is held in individual files, retrieving it would cost the Council in excess of £600 to collate. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, excessive cost, we are therefore unable to comply with your request.
