I have an FOI request.

Under FOI I would please like to request the following.
Q1. The number of buildings within the council containing asbestos in 2017 and now in 2022
Q2. The percentage of buildings in this council containing asbestos in 2017 and now in 2022
Q3. The number of schools within the council containing asbestos in 2017 and now in 2022
Q4. The percentage of schools within the council containing asbestos in 2017 and now in 2022
Q5. Since the beginning of 2012, how many buildings have had work carried out to remove asbestos?
Q6. Since the beginning of 2012, how many schools have had work carried out to remove asbestos?
Q7. How many buildings did the council have in both years.
Q8. How many schools did the council have in both years.

Response 09-11-2022

1. 66 in 2017, and 56 in 2022 (Corporate buildings)

2. 41% and 39%

3. 43 in 2017, and 41 in 2022

4. 81% and 76%

5. 22 Corporate buildings (dating back to 2014*)

6. 39 Schools (dating back to 2014*)

7. 2017 – 162,  2022 - 145

8. 2017 – 53, 2022 - 54

*Please note that the Property database only came into use in 2014, any information pre-dating this would be in paper format and would require additional resources to retrieve and extrapolate the relevant information. This would cost the Council in excess of £600. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, excessive cost, we are therefore unable to comply with your request.
