I am requesting the following information under freedom of information legislation:

1. How many supply teachers are there in your council area in 2022-23? (This includes supply teachers hired and supply teacher positions advertised)

2. How many supply teachers were employed in your council area in 2021-22?

3. How many supply teachers were employed in your council area in 2020-21?

4. How many supply teachers were employed in your council area in 2019-20?

5. How many supply teachers were employed in your council area in 2018-19?

Response 22-09-2022

1. 383 supply teachers on the current primary and secondary supply lists.

2. 355 supply teachers on the list as at 4/3/22

3. Not held  - Figure not available for this time. Information that is not held falls under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information not held.

4. 285 supply teachers on the list on as at 10/4/19

5. 266 supply teachers on the list as at 28/9/18
