FOI Request - Real Living Wage

Request 101003124867

Moray Council is a Real Living Wage employer. I understand that this extends to the services that it commissions. I have the following questions:

1. Are there any exceptions to the rule that commissioned services must pay all employees at least the Real Living Wage of £9.90 per hour?
2. What does Moray Council do to check that its commissioned services meet this standard?
3. If a person becomes aware that a commissioned service pays its employees less that the Real Living Wage, what is the procedure for bringing this to the council's attention?
4. What courses of action are open to the council if it becomes aware that a commissioned service is paying employees less than the Real Living Wage?
