Could you please provide the following:

1. whether you use Hikvision cameras
a) in the whole council area
b) on school buses
2. whether they are used specifically on school buses as part of a contract with McDades Coaches or any other company
3. how long they have been used on school buses
4. how many cameras there are currently being used
5. how much it costs to use these cameras (installation and maintenance etc)
6. whether you have a data retention policy associated with using these cameras
7. whether you are aware of concerns about Hikvision?
8. whether you have considered removing the cameras?
9. whether you have a timeline for their removal?
10. whether you have undertaken an assessment of the arrangements/agreement in line with the Scottish Government's human rights due diligence guidance
11. whether any Hikvision cameras have been installed since the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee report was published in July 2021 recommending that they not be used in the UK

1. Hikvision Cameras are only used in a few properties and there is no CCTV on our own buses on school routes.

5. Not held - We cannot provide a breakdown of costs for Camera installation and maintenance specifically for Hikvision but our TOTAL cost to maintain ALL CCTV systems is £3270.43 for a year. 6. As per Moray Council’s retention policy, CCTV images are kept for 28 days then destroyed.
