I am writing to request an internal review of Moray Council's handling of my FOI request 'Common Good funds: assets, value and spending'.

This FOI request is now long overdue.

Following your request for a review, a review into the Freedom of Information (FOI) Request - Common Good Funds - 101003053175 was held on 30th June 2022. In attendance were the Records and Heritage Manager, Principal Accountant Corporate Services, Senior Solicitor and Information Co-ordinator.

Your FOI Request from 19/04/2022 was discussed, and whilst a response from the department was received in time, there were serious delays in responding and providing the information to you. This was due to a high level of staff churn, the use of relief staff and the impact of COVID-related staff absences within the FOI Team. We confirm that we now have staff and procedures in place and hope that delays of this kind will not happen again.
