FOI Request - Child Welfare Referrals

How many investigations by Social Services, following a child welfare referral were concluded during the years 2019, 2020 and 2021:

1/ without any face to face contact with the child in question, and;

2/ without any face to face contact with the child's parent(s).

Regarding Child Protection alone, answering this question would require searching through over 1000 concerns. As it is estimated that it would take more than an hour to search through 25 of them, given that information is held both in written form and on the database, this task would cost the Council in excess of £600 of staff time. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (excessive cost) we are therefore unable to comply with this part of the request.
