I wish to request the following under freedom of information:

1. The total spent by your council on energy (electricity and gas) in each of the last five financial years.
2. The total expected to be spent by your council on energy in 2022/23.
3. Any other information on how the organisation could be impacted by rising energy bills.

2. The total expected to be spent by your council on energy in 2022/23.

Total energy costs for 22/23 are very difficult to predict as they depend heavily on a number of factors (price and consumption) of which the likes of the weather can have a huge influence and is impossible to predict. Utility costs are in a state of flux at the moment, but recent advice from Scottish Procurement would mean that based on no change of energy consumption the Council would see an increase in 22/23 of £411,000 for gas and electricity combined.  This gives an estimated annual spend of £2,874,300.

3. Any other information on how the organisation could be impacted by rising energy bills.
