FOI Request - Mould and Damp in Council Homes
Request 101002990437
Please provide me the number of complaints Moray Council has received over the last five years (from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2021) about mould and damp in council homes.
I would like to know:
1) The number of complaints of mould and damp each year
2) The number of times those complaints resulted in investigators visiting properties for issues relating to mould and damp.
3) The number of times the complaints about mould and damp were dealt with and repairs were made to the property.
4) If possible would you be able to specify what kind of repairs have been carried out to deal with mould and damp issues.
If possible I would like this information broken down into each year in a table on an excel spreadsheet.

1) Moray Council has no specific job code for dampness and mould therefore the data supplied has been extracted from a free text entry on the works instruction. This data result may include some variables, which may or may not be related to damp and mould.

2) This would be exempt under Section 12 - Excessive cost of compliance. There are 560 records that needs to be manually checked, approximately 10 minutes per case.
(560/6 cases per hour x hourly rate of £14 (Grade 6) = £1306)
