• How many teachers are on staff with the council at the primary level? How many at the secondary level?
• What is the total substitute or staff replacement pool at the primary level? By this I mean, when teachers are absent for illness or leave, how many substitutes are available?
• What is the total substitute pool at the secondary level?
• When asked to substitute, do teachers remain within a certain area or may they be asked to travel to a school anywhere in the council area where they are needed? If the former, are there any geographical areas in the council where there is a shortage of substitutes?

No of Supply Teachers (that are on payroll) 188 Primary 118 / Secondary 67 and I have 3 that are registered for working both Primary & Secondary

Supply teachers indicate on their application for supply, which areas they would be willing to travel to within the Moray Council Local Authority Area. There is no specific area where the shortage of supply teacher availability is greater felt.
