Can you please confirm how many acres of land the council owns? The Council do not record how many acres of land the Council owns. This information therefore falls under Regulation 10(4)(a) of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004. Access to the titles to council property is available from Registers of Scotland.

Does the council have its own definition of the term 'rewilding' if so, can you please define it. The Council do not have a definition of 'rewilding'. This information therefore falls under Regulation 10(4)(a) of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 - not held. 

Could you please confirm if the council has any plans to rewild any council-owned lands?  We have a programme of working with communities to introduce additional areas of wildflower plantings into communities across Moray.  We aim to introduce up to 8 sites each year over the next 3 years.

Following consultation with Community Councils the following sites have been identified as potential planting sites in 2022 and work is currently underway with communities to develop plans for these:  Queen Street Orchard, Buckie; Mannachie, Forres; Fiddich Park, Craigellachie; Provost Christie Drive, Rothes; Reikit Lane, Elgin; Moray Sports Centre, Elgin; Clovenside Cemetery; Forres.

Can you give details of any previous rewilding plans or projects? Under Regulation 10(4)(a) of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, this information is not held.
