Landlord Registration is a requirement in terms of Part 8 of the Antisocial Behaviour etc. (Scotland) Act 2004 implemented by the Scottish Government. Each local authority must prepare and maintain a register. Moray Council maintains the Scottish Landlord Register on the Registers of Scotland website:-  https://www.ros.gov.uk/our-registers/scottish-landlord-register
The goal of the Environmental Health Landlord Registration team is to ensure that landlords are registered and where rented properties are found to be below standard, the owners carry out any necessary repairs. There are no set performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the team.
