-The number of restraints (may also be referred to as safe holding) that have been carried out in local authority run residential children’s houses (may also be referred to as children’s homes or children’s units).

-A summary of ages of the children that the above restraints have been carried out on.

-This information for the years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 to date.

1. The number of restraints (may also be referred to as safe holding) that have been carried out in local authority run residential children’s houses (may also be referred to as children’s homes or children’s units).
a. 2018 = 0
b. 2019 = 16
c. 2020 = 26
d. 2021 = The low numbers (<5) required for this response may result in the identification of individuals. This information is therefore exempt from release under Section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Personal information.
