FOI Request - Climate Change Staff

As your local authority declared a state of climate emergency, I would like you to provide the following information:

1. The number of expert climate change officers employed by the local authority.
2. The number of staff in total employed by the local authority whose role includes advising the local authority on climate change matters including the climate emergency.
3. A breakdown of the highest level of education attained by each member of staff in points 1 and 2, further detailed by qualification if possible.
4. The total monetary spend on (1) and (2) from the date of climate emergency declaration to date, broken down by financial year.

3. Due to the low numbers associated with questions 1 and 2, releasing qualifications attained by each member of staff may lead to identification of individuals. This information is therefore exempt from release under Section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Personal Information. Under our duty to be helpful, we can confirm that the highest level of education attained by the Climate Change Team overall is PhD level. 

4. £23,777 staffing costs for both 1 and 2 (Climate Change Team). This figure is for financial year 2021/22 to date only, as this was when the Climate Change Team came on post.
