FOI Request - Water Fluoridation

Request 101002894845

I am writing with concern in regards to a recent article I have read in the Guardian about water fluoridation. See below.

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/sep/23/fluoride-will-be-added-to-uk-drinking-water-to-cut-tooth-decay

It says in the article that it would be down to local authorities to decide on whether that would happen in your area or not.

1. Do we currently have a fluoridation system in Morayshire - more specifically Forres water supply.
2. Have you heard from the government yet about this push for implementing such a system nationwide?
3. What is the consensus locally amongst council members and who exactly gets to decide this in our local council?
