Using the freedom of information request, please could you provide me with a list of all the items being included in the resettlement package for any Afghan refugees relocating with in the Moray council area, also how many families we are supporting?

Is this cost met by Moray council directly or is it funded by the Scottish or UK government?

Using the freedom of information request, please could you provide me with a list of all the items being included in the resettlement package for any Afghan refugees relocating with in the Moray council area, also how many families we are supporting?

Moray Council are not currently supporting any refugees from Afghanistan. Moray Council has confirmed it will participate in the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) Scheme. The number of families arriving through the ARAP Scheme is to be confirmed. The needs of families can only be assessed on arrival, therefore the basic items families are to be provided with has not yet been confirmed. The number of families and list of items included in the resettlement package are therefore exempt from release under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information Not Held.

Participation in the ARAP scheme will be funded by the Home Office.
