1.) How many sick days have been recorded by Council staff in the past two years?

Number of Sick Days that have been recorded in the last two years - April 2019 - March 2020 -  40,090.07 April 2020 - March 2021 - 28,379.84

2.) How much have these sick days cost the council?

The costs cited are purely the salary costs of those who have been absent from work. It should be borne in mind that for many of those absent from work there are no replacement costs; no sick pay entitlement; and elements of sickness allowance costs are recoverable for the council.
