FOI Request - Looked After Children and Care Leavers and the EUSS

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information, as it stands at 30 June 2021:

How many children are looked after and accommodated by the local authority under s.25 Children (Scotland) Act 1995:
• the total number,
• are non-British EU, EEA or Swiss national citizens,  
• have made applications to the EU Settlement Scheme,  
• have made applications for British Citizenship,
• have received settled status,  
• have received pre-settled status,
• have received another outcome:
• application has been refused,
• application has been deemed invalid
• application has been withdrawn or voided.  
 
How many children are looked after and accommodated by the local authority under a Compulsory Supervision Order:
• the total number,
• are non-British EU, EEA or Swiss national citizens,  
• have made applications to the EU Settlement Scheme,  
• have made applications for British Citizenship,
• have received settled status,  
• have received pre-settled status,
• have received another outcome:
• application has been refused,
• application has been deemed invalid
• application has been withdrawn or voided.

How many children are looked after and accommodated by a local authority with a Permanence Order:
• the total number,
• are non-British EU, EEA or Swiss national citizens,  
• have made applications to the EU Settlement Scheme,  
• have made applications for British Citizenship,
• have received settled status,  
• have received pre-settled status,
• have received another outcome:
• application has been refused,
• application has been deemed invalid
• application has been withdrawn or voided.

How many young people are entitled to leaving care support under s.29 Children (Scotland) Act 1995 as amended by Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 (up to and including 25 years of age)
• the total number,
• are non-British EU, EEA or Swiss national citizens,  
• have made applications to the EU Settlement Scheme,  
• have made applications for British Citizenship,
• have received settled status,  
• have received pre-settled status,
• have received another outcome:
• application has been refused,
• application has been deemed invalid
• application has been withdrawn or voided.

Total number In accordance with section 18 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act  2002 we neither confirm nor deny if any information is held in relation to your request. If information were held, the numbers would be so low that disclosure would risk identifying individuals and as such, would be exempt under section 38(1)(b) of the same Act.
