According to the most recent Transport Scotland Statistics No. 39, 2020 Edition, published on 24 February 2021, Chapter 01 Road Transport Vehicles, Table 1.4 Taxi, private hire cars and drivers licensed by local authority area 2020, Moray Council licensed a total of 197 taxi and private hire cars and 274 drivers.

Please could you advise the total amount spent by Moray Council in Financial Year 2020-21 on:

a] Licence plates for Taxis and Private Hire Cars [including external and internal plates and door stickers]
b] Taxi and Private Hire Car Driver badges

a) £1071.80 in 20/21

b) The cost of the constituent parts of each ID card is 37.3p, the staff cost to produce each one is £2.34.  This cost does not include staff costs to process the application only to print the card. We can only see 76 Taxi Driver and 4 Private Hire applications being processed during the financial year 20/21.  Total cost for the year is £217.04
