1) How many people are currently on the waiting list for alterations to be undertaken at their homes (ie. such as a wet room, lowering work tops)?

2) Could you please provide the average waiting times for people in the following categories to get the alterations pre covid - moderation need, substantial need and critical need?

3) Could you please provide the average waiting times for people in the following categories to get the alterations during the pandemic- moderation need, substantial need and critical need?  

4) How many years is it expected to take to clear the backlog?

1) (Measured from recommendation received by Home improvement team following assessment by Occupational Therapist but work is not yet complete).  

Private sector - 57 requests 

Council - 17 requests 

Total 74 requests

2)  (Measured for recommendations received by Home improvement team following assessment by Occupational Therapist and completed between 01/04/19 - 31/03/20 again from date OT request received to date of completion) 

Only measured "Substantial" which is taken as our "High Priority" and "Moderation" as our "Medium Priority" No "critical need" requests 

Private sector "Substantial" average time 214 days (7 day week) and "Moderation" 270 days 

Council - "Substantial" 202 days and "Moderation" 202 days 

Average over both Private and Council is - "Substantial" 208 days and "Moderation" 236 days

3) (Same measurement for this question) measured from 01/04/20 - 31/03/21 

Private Sector - "Substantial" 305 days and "Moderation" 284 days 

Council - "Substantial" 368 days and "Moderation" 368 days 

Average over both Private and Council is "Substantial" 336 and "Moderation" 326
