FOI Request - Council Staff Working From Home
Request 101002755234
Can you please provide information about staff working from home / office?
1. Is it compulsory for teams / staff in Moray Council to work from an office during the coronavirus pandemic?
If yes who?
2. What is the future plans for staff working from home during this period?
Response 16-04-2021
1. Whilst the Council is still encouraging staff to work from home during this period, given the job profile diversity of our workforce there are a significant number of staff who are physically attending their workplace. These include those who by the nature of their role provide direct care for the vulnerable in our society; those engaged in a schools setting; and those who predominantly work outdoor such as Refuse Collectors, Gardeners and Road Workers. Whilst most office based workers are still working from home the nature of certain roles require some attendance in the workplace.
2. In accordance with section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 please be advised that this information is not held as plans have not yet been fully developed, but they will be based upon Scottish Government and industry specific advice and guidance
