Please send me:
1. The number of pupils that have used counselling services in each of the last five academic years  - a) 2020-2021, b) 2019-2020, c) 2018-2019, d)2017-2018, and e) 2016-2017.
2. Please also provide these numbers as a percentage of the overall number of pupils in each of the last five academic years  - a) 2020-2021, b) 2019-2020, c) 2018-2019, d)2017-2018, and e) 2016-2017.
3. The number of full-time counsellors employed in each of the last five academic years  - a) 2020-2021, b) 2019-2020, c) 2018-2019, d) 2017-2018, and e) 2016-2017

1 & 2) Obtaining the figures for the response to these questions would require each individual pupil file to be checked. This information is therefore exempt under Section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Excessive cost of compliance. 

3) There is currently one counsellor employed who all schools have access to.  Plans are currently being progressed to employ a further four counsellors. If pupils need to access support for issues they face, they can approach guidance staff, home school link workers, school nurse, locality wellbeing staff.
