(1) How many incidents of graffiti have been reported to your local authority between  1st April 2020 and 31st January 2021?  

(2) What number of those reports constituted hate-based graffiti?

(3) Have these figures increased, decreased or stayed the same, compared to the previous reporting year (1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020)?

(4) Does your local authority operate a graffiti removal service? If so, please tell us about the service provided.

(5) If your local authority does provide a graffiti removal service, are there any charges attached to this? If so, please tell us what these are for (for example, removing graffiti from private property).

(6) If your local authority does provide a graffiti removal service, are there any targets in place on the time it will take for graffiti to be removed once it has been formally reported? If so, please tell us what these are and how the COVID crisis impacted on your ability to meet these targets, if applicable?

(7) If your local authority does provide a graffiti removal service, what reporting methods are available to the public (for example, on-line; by phone; by mail and so forth)?

(8) Can you provide any information on the specific annual cost for the removal of graffiti in your local authority area? If so, please provide details on costs.

(1) How many incidents of graffiti have been reported to your local authority between  1st April 2020 and 31st January 2021?  
10 in total.

(2) What number of those reports constituted hate-based graffiti?   
We do not hold this information. This information is therefore exempt under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - information not held. 

(3) Have these figures increased, decreased or stayed the same, compared to the previous reporting year (1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020)?   
Decreased by 4 in total.

(4) Does your local authority operate a graffiti removal service? If so, please tell us about the service provided.
Yes, to Council owned buildings/property only.

(5) If your local authority does provide a graffiti removal service, are there any charges attached to this? If so, please tell us what these are for (for example, removing graffiti from private property).  
Yes, see table below.

(6) If your local authority does provide a graffiti removal service, are there any targets in place on the time it will take for graffiti to be removed once it has been formally reported? If so, please tell us what these are and how the COVID crisis impacted on your ability to meet these targets, if applicable?  
Dependant on type of graffiti - 24 hours as urgent or 5 days as standard.


(7) If your local authority does provide a graffiti removal service, what reporting methods are available to the public (for example, on-line; by phone; by mail and so forth)? People can report graffiti by emailing antisocialbehaviour@moray.gov.uk. Information on this can be found on the Moray Council website.

(8) Can you provide any information on the specific annual cost for the removal of graffiti in your local authority area? If so, please provide details on costs.
