Year | No. of FPNs issued for littering | Paid/Unpaid |
2016 | 0 | N/A |
2017 | 3 | 1 paid (£80), 2 unpaid |
2018 | 2 | 2 paid (£80 each) |
2019 | 0 | N/A |
2020 | 0 | N/A |
There have been no prosecutions for dropping litter by the council, nor any prosecutions brought for non-payment of the FPNs for littering.
There is no specific budget dedicated to tackling littering - this falls to the Community Wardens who deal with littering as a small part of their duties. We are therefore unable to provide an annual expenditure by the council on littering enforcement as this information is not held and is exempt under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information Not Held.
