I would like to request under FOISA details of your organisation’s preparations for the UK leaving the EU single market and customs union when the Brexit transition period ends on 31 December 2020.

Specifically, I would like to request (for the period 1 January 2020 onwards) copies of:

a) any assessment your organisation has made (or has commissioned others to make) of the impact the UK leaving the EU after the Brexit transition period is likely to have in your areas of responsibility

b) any preparations your organisation is making or contingency plans you have prepared for the UK leaving the EU after the Brexit transition period in all possible scenarios (including ‘no deal’ on the future relationship being reached)

1. Moray Council has no formal assessment for the impact of the UK leaving the EU after the transition period nor has it had one commissioned. This request is therefore exempt under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information Not Held.  

2. We have created an EU Exit Planning Group who have met and discussed, in general terms only, the topic of Brexit.  Consideration is also being given to the creation of EU Exit risk register.There is currently nothing in writing, so no copies can be provided - this request is therefore exempt under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Information Not Held.
