FOI Request - Non-Payment of Council Tax Due to COVID-19

All information on the inability of householders to pay council tax as a result of COVID-19.  This should include any report or communication which indicates the numbers of council tax payers involved, their reasons for non-payment plus any calculation of how much council income could be reduced as a result.  For clarification, I do not require copies of individual letters or emails from council tax payers, indicating their difficulty.

To provide this information would require individual examination of all documents received during this period, costing the Council in excess of £600. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, excessive cost, we are therefore unable to comply with your request. 

There has been a decrease in income for Council Tax, however it is not possible to pinpoint if this is solely due to COVID-19. We are therefore unable to provide a figure on how much Council Tax income could be lost as a result of COVID-19.
