FOI Request - Home Care Services

Request 101002368827

Almost all people with rapidly degenerative diseases, like motor neurone disease (MND), will need home care services. This usually starts with one care worker once or twice per day. However, this often quickly becomes insufficient and the person with MND is reassessed as needing two care workers up to four times per day.

After reassessment, how long would it take, on average, for someone in your local authority area to receive this new full package of care?

This information is not recorded in a centralised system and in order to provide it would cost the Council in excess of £600. In accordance with section 12 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, excessive cost of compliance, we are therefore unable to fulfil your request.
