FOI Request Unpaid Council Tax (2)

Could I request the following information under freedom of information legislation:

a) Any calculation or estimation the Council has made of the total cost of unpaid council tax for the tax years 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017
b) the cost of paying debt agencies to collect unpaid  council tax for the tax years 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.

Response 10-11-2017

a) As at 31 March 2017, the last date on which Moray Council has published Council Tax collection figures, the following balances were still unpaid on the years for which you have sought information:

                2014-15:               £1,403,032;

                2015-16:               £1,230,732;

                2016-17:               £ 1,714,471.

b)  The council did not make any payments to any debt agencies to collect unpaid Council Taxes for any of the years specified in (a), above.
