Please send me:
• How many letters have been sent to offenders advising them of a delay to community sentences, the length of delay that applied in each case and the reason for it.
• The longest delay to a community sentences an offender has experienced.
• The average and longest delay between an offender being interviewed (first direct contact) and then put on placement.
• The average and longest delay between the imposition of the CPO and an offender being interviewed.
• The percentage of offenders waiting more than five days between the imposition of the CPO and their induction.
• The percentage of offenders waiting more than seven days between the imposition of the CPO and their commencement.
• The times available for offenders to complete their hours, i.e. hours during the day, evening and weekend, broken down by gender.
• The number of different available placements, please list.

I would like the above information to be provided to me as paper or electronic copies.

1. We do not gather this statistic.

2  256 days – Offender was on Order or Supervision

3. Average = 29 days Longest = 410 days

4. Average = 2 days Longest = 48 days

6. Our Service is available to individuals from Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm. We do not break this down by gender but we do offer a female only squad which operates on a weekday from 10am to 3pm to take into account childcare/responsivity issues. We also have a range of individual placements which provides  work to individuals at weekends Saturday and Sunday. We also have a bank of individual placements that offer evening work.

7. The following list is not exhaustive as our placements are developed as per the need of the individual but the following provides a list of the more commonly used placements.The identity of the businesses/agencies involved has been protected under Section 33(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Commercial Interest.
