- How many public health funerals you have carried out each financial year dating back to 2010/11 (if possible) and up to 2016/17?
- How much you have spent on public health funerals in the whole of each financial year (2010/11 to 2016/17)?
- And, if possible, the average cost of each funeral in 2016/17 compared to the cost of one in 2010 (or earliest you have available)?

1. The following numbers of funerals were arranged by Moray Council's Environmental Health Section, in accordance with our duty in terms of Section              50 of the National Assistance Act 1948, in the financial years (1 April - 31 March) referred to:   

2010 - 11: Three

2011 - 12: One

 2012 - 13: Two

2013 - 14: Five

2014 - 15: Six

2015- 16: Three

2016- 17: Three

 2. The costs in arranging the funerals were as follows:

2010 - 11: Total cost £2408.83 (net cost with income recovered from any estates of the deceased persons, £975.04)

2011 - 12: Total cost £428.00 (net cost £422.50)

2012 - 13: Total cost £2042.62 (net cost £1741.54)

2013 - 14: Total cost £5911.89 (net cost £3498.94)

2014 - 15: Total cost £8847.74 (net cost £4708.11)

2015  - 16: Total cost £7966.30 (net cost £436.76)

2016 - 17: Total cost £4900.13 (net cost £1386.00)

3. The average cost of the funerals arranged in 2016-17 was £1633.38. The average cost of the funerals arranged in 2010-11 was £802.94.
