FOI Request - Repairing IT Equipment
What is the total cost of repairing IT equipment per year, between and including 2007 and 2016, in a) primary schools and b) secondary schools in your local authority area?
The ICT Section have supported the schools since August 2008 and don't have any third party contracts specifically for repairs. Hardware is purchased via the various Scottish Government hardware frameworks with warranty and any support is done by the ICT Section.Prior to that, the IT equipment and services were provided by Fujitsu via a managed service contract. The ICT department provides ICT support to all sectors of the Council. This support includes the maintenance and replacement of IT equipment funded from a centrally managed budget. Amounts relating specifically to schools is not identifiable therefore this information is exempt under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002- Information Not Held.
