Burghead harbour

Burghead harbour occupies a sheltered position and consists of a single basin. The harbour has become the operational base for a growing number of inshore vessels engaged mainly in the shellfish and squid industry.

Those visiting Burghead harbour by vessel should contact the harbour office to inform them of your arrival. You can call 01542 831700 or radio VHF Channel 16, working channel 12.

There is a slipway at the harbour for launch of boats and craft. A charge is levied for this service, which can be viewed here (pdf).

Burghead bay is an excellent spot for walkers, while watersports enthusiasts can take to the waves.
