Young Persons Mental Health - Social Work
The target group is 16 to 22 year olds with issues that affect their mental wellbeing and may lead to self-harm/suicidal ideation.
Eligibility Criteria – young people at risk of self-harm/suicide and with poor mental wellbeing. Severe and enduring diagnosed young people go to the mental health social work acute team.
Advice, guidance and support through crisis period - raising awareness of the issues which may have caused the crisis and doing short pieces of work. Signposting and support to engage with other agencies as appropriate.
Referral
All adult mental health is initially assessed and managed by their GP, then they may refer to mental health services and the mental health team decides which service is most appropriate. As the mental health social work service is part of Moray Council Community Care team the public and agencies can contact The Moray Council Access Team.
