Here is a list of all planning consultations in progress. More information can be found on each consultation page. This can include guidance notes, maps, landscape studies, environmental reports and contact details.

Consultation: Public Realm Improvements (Dufftown & Forres)

Dates: 18 November - 20 December 2024

Information: 

Concept designs for public realm improvements have been prepared for Museum Square, Forres and the Square, Dufftown. These are long-term projects and the works will be funded via external sources should they become available, not the Council. Both projects are identified in Town Centre Improvement Plans which were approved at a meeting of the Planning and Regulatory Services Committee on 25 October 2022 following an 8 week public consultation. The purpose of TCIPs is to provide a framework for investment and attracting external funding whether projects are led by the Council, a community group, or a partnership of both. Having plans in place for both Squares will help to attract external funding opportunities.

Moray Council has appointed a consultant to progress design options for both squares. Initial concepts have been prepared and we are seeking your views on them. Following the consultation a finalised design will be prepared.

Public exhibitions will be held on Wednesday 27th November in the Courtroom, Tolbooth between 2pm and 6pm and Thursday 28th November at Dufftown Library between 2pm and 6pm.
