5a. Assessing your needs

Access Care Team

Are you having difficulty getting in and out of the bath or managing steps?

Do you feel like your home is making it difficult for you to live in comfort?

We can help by paying for certain works to be carried out in your home.  The type of work we can arrange includes fitting handrails or grabrails, fitting a ramp or removing a bath, and fitting a level access shower. 

If you think this would help you to live well in your home, contact our Access Care Team.  They can arrange to carry out an assessment of your needs.  If it is easier, you can ask a friend, relative or doctor to contact them on your behalf:

Someone from the team should be available to answer your call or email from Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 5pm. You can leave a message with your contact number on the answering service outwith those times, and the team will get back to you when they can.
