Discretionary Business Level 3 Restrictions Fund

This fund will close for any new applications on Friday 28 May 2021 at 5pm.

The Discretionary Business Level 3 Restriction fund is for specific businesses in Moray that are impacted by the Scottish Government’s decision to retain Protection Level 3 Restrictions to cover up to a two-week period from 17 May 2021 in response to rates of COVID-19 in the Moray area.

For supply chain businesses for the Hospitality & Tourism sector such as catering van, bus tour operator, laundry services or cleaning services a one off a one-off payment of £500 will be available to successful applicants. Please note that this fund will be issued on a first come first served basis for complete applications & will close once the allocated budget is spent. It is important that all documentation requested is submitted with the applications for it to be considered complete.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Business trading prior to 14/05/2021
  • Business is based in Moray & supplies one the following services to the Hospitality & Tourism Sector in Moray i.e. catering van, bus tour operator, laundry services or cleaning services
  • Business has valid a VAT, PAYE, Companies House registration, SCIO, CIC or UTR number or evidence of application
  • Business has not received an enforcement notice as a result of breaching Covid-19 regulations
  • Business is not in administration, insolvency or received notice to be struck off Companies House
  • My business has suffered a negative financial impact from COVID-19 restrictions

For eligible businesses from the sectors listed below, which missed out on the SFBF either through not having previously applied or started trading before 14/05/2021, discretionary grants will be available for the amount per sector as listed in the table below. Please note that this fund will be issued on a first come first served basis for complete applications & will close once the allocated budget is spent. It is important that all documentation requested is submitted with the applications for it to be considered complete.

Eligibility criteria:

  • My business falls into specific sectors as outlined below & into one of the following two categories:
  • My business is required to close by law for the duration protective measures are in place
  • My business remains open but is specifically and legally required to modify its operations as a result of protective measures
  • Business has valid a VAT, PAYE, Companies House registration, SCIO, CIC or UTR number or evidence of application
  • Business premises are registered for Non-Domestic rates (if you pay rates through your landlord rather than directly to a Council, you are still eligible to apply but must provide evidence of this arrangement through copy of your lease agreement)
  • Business has not received an enforcement notice as a result of breaching Covid-19 regulations
  • Business is not in administration, insolvency or received notice to be struck off Companies House
  • My business has suffered a negative financial impact from COVID-19 restrictions
