What to do in an emergency situation:
GP -Your first stop should always be your local GP. They will be familiar with your medical history and will be able to direct you appropriately. Out of normal surgery hours, follow your Doctor's out of hours instructions or phone NHS Direct (open 24 hours) on 0845 4647 to find out what to do.
Accident & Emergency - Go to your nearest Accident & Emergency department and explain your difficulty.

Breathing Space - Call 0800 83 85 87
Breathing Space is a free and confidential phoneline service for people in Scotland, particularly young men, who are experiencing low mood or depression and need someone to talk to.
Trained specialist advisors will listen to your problems and may offer advice, guidance and support underpinned by empathy, warmth and understanding.
The phoneline is open 24 hours at weekends (Fri–Mon: 6pm–6am) and from 6pm to 2am at all other times (Mon–Thurs). These are hours when worries may seem particularly insurmountable or unbearable.
You can also call Breathing Space if you need support with helping someone you're worried about.
