FOI Request - Artwork & Exhibits Not on Public Display
For every art gallery or museum administered or owned by your council:
A list of artworks or other exhibits which have NOT been on public display for a period of at least FIVE calendar years.
I would like this list to include, where available, the following information:
a) The name of the artwork/exhibit
b) The name of the artist/creator
c) The value of the artwork/exhibit (if known)
d) The amount of time since it was last on public display.
Libraries - There are no art works owned by the Libraries Service that have not been on public display within the last 5 calendar years.
Museum - This information is exempt under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002; information not held. Much of our collection was inherited from the original Falconer Trust. The artwork held by the museums service, including the civic collections, amounts to just over 1,000 works, including items from the Peter Anson collection. Museum artefacts, including paintings, are listed in the museum catalogue on the Moray Council's website here. In addition those works in oil are available here as part of the Public Catalogue Foundation initiative.
