Current Rate Poundages

The Rates Poundage for 2025/26 is:

•  49.8 pence for properties with a rateable value of up to £51,000;
•  55.4 pence for properties with a rateable value of £51,001 to £100,000 (this includes an Intermediate Property Rate of 5.6 pence)
•  56.8 pence for properties with a rateable value over £100,000 (this includes a Higher Property Rate of 7.0 pence).

Example 1:

Rateable Value £1,000

£1,000 x 49.8pence = £498.00 payable for full year

Example 2:

Rateable Value £60,000

£60,000 x 55.4pence = £33,240.00 payable for full year

Example 3:

Rateable Value £125,000

£125,000 x 56.8pence = £71,000.00
