FOI Request - Council Competition Prizes
Information relating to all competition prizes given out by the council, and the total cost of such prizes.
More specifically, I would like details of all the prizes handed out for competitions run by the local authority since 2010, the cost of each individual prize (where applicable), what the prize was for, and if the prize was provided by, or funded by, a third party. Please include the date the prize was given, or the date the competition was run.
Education - Annual Inter Schools Book Quiz (primary schools) Prizes are sponsored by Elliott Office Equipment and Yeadons of Banchory & Elgin, value of prizes unknown.
Social Work - In 2010, for the 21st Century TeleWEAR project, we offered a £25 M&S voucher in a random prize draw from the initial completed surveys by Telecare users.
The funding for the project was obtained from the Joint Improvement Team’s (JIT) Innovation funding stream which sat alongside Telecare Development funding. This was match-funded by Distance Lab in Forres (now Glasgow School of Art’s Centre for Design Innovation). So the prize was not directly from the Council.
There was an Autism Competition as part of the development of the Autism Strategy. First Prize was £50 voucher and there were 8 runner up prizes of £10 voucher each. The total prize value was therefore £130 and this was funded through a government grant for the development of the Autism Strategy. Prizes will be distributed at the launch of the strategy in January 2014.
