The Corporate Repairs and Maintenance Framework Contractor’s Register for all reactive repairs and individual contracts up to £30,000 in value went live on 1 June 2011 following a tender procurement process. Any identified gaps in trade coverage will be filled by further advertisement and tender using Public Contracts Scotland.
The Property Service is a multi-disciplinary section with particular expertise in Local Government projects. The service incorporates Architects, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, CDM Co-ordinator, Quantity Surveyors and Maintenance Staff and provides a comprehensive professional and technical service to the Council and other Clients.
Architectural and Engineering Practice
The Architectural and Engineering Practice is responsible for the design, management and monitoring of the Council’s Capital and Revenue Building programmes for all Departments. This includes planned and cyclical maintenance to the Council Housing Stock.
Quantity Surveying and Maintenance Practice
The Quantity Surveying and Maintenance Practice is responsible for procurement and cost control of all projects from inception to completion. Building Maintenance includes response Help Desk for all Council Property (other than Housing), advice relating to legislative issues and a Clerk of Works service. Property Condition Surveys and Asbestos Surveys are also a key work area for this Practice.
