How to get to

Elgin Reception

A reception is open on Elgin High Street / Glover Street at the site of the former access point. It is open between 8.45am and 5pm (Mon-Fri), but not for regular enquiries. Instead, residents can visit to drop off forms or evidence, or to attend pre-booked appointments with council staff, for example housing or benefits.

To find Elgin Reception, see this map or read the descriptions attached below. To get here by public transport you can use this journey planner, and use Hitrans’ active travel map of Elgin (please verify with Stagecoach if bus routes are still operational).

How to get to the Elgin Reception by bicycle

By bicycle

When arriving by bicycle, the best place to park one’s bicycle is at the ‘Greyfriars Street HQ Annexe’ car park, just off the A96, which also has bicycle parking facilities. This is just around the corner from Reception, and is accessible through Greyfriar’s Street or through the end (East side) of the High Street. There are various bike racks against which the bicycle can be placed and securely attached (requires you to bring your own chain lock), a publically accessible bike shelter and the availability of a bicycle repair station with various tools and a pump with various valve adaptors. The stands and repair station are underneath a canopy.

Any feedback on our current Active Travel network, or requests for future infrastructure, please submit your ideas online through the Online Feedback Tool. This also provides a map with the current Active Travel network to be found in Moray.
