3. How much has the council paid out in compensation claims and legal fees relating to vehicle damage caused by potholes since Jan 2022-Dec 2023 (up to and including any data held for Jan 2024)

1. There are 1025 no. instructions for “Carriageway Defect” or “Potholes” currently recorded and unrepaired.  These instructions can be for 1 or many defects per instruction.

2.Revenue Patching Expenditure – (data only available in financial years):
2023/24 (to-date) - £980,711.68
2022/23 - £774,645.08
2021/22 - £792,832.39
2020/21 - £532,171.53

3. From 2022 to 2024 reimbursements of £1268.29 were paid.
