1.  How many nursery places are there in Moray broken down as follows: -
 
Local Authority places – by session
 
Private nursery places - by session
 
Child minder places – by session
 
2.  How many weeks are these sessions are these places available for in each of the above
 
3.  How many of these places have been taken up as per session as set out above.
 
4.  What is the predicated incoming role for August 2023 and January and April 2024.
 
5.  How many places do Moray Council have available for unaccounted for children i.e., those who move into the Local Authority area ?
 
6.  What is the cost allocation per child, per session for a local authority place?

1. Local Authority places – by session - capacity for 739 children

Private nursery places - by session - capacity for 1746 children; Capacity figures do not take into account non-funded places for children at partner provider settings. Some partner provider nurseries are registered with Care Inspectorate to provide service to children from varying ages ranging from birth through 14 years of age; therefore, a registered capacity does not indicate all places will be for funded 3-4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds.
 
Child minder places – by session - number of sessions dependant on individual childminder.  We have 37 childminders in partnership with Moray Council.

38 week (term time) model up to 30 hours per week usually equates to 5 sessions per week
46 week model up to 25 hours per week
50 week model up to 23.75 hours per week

2. 38 week (term time) model up to 30 hours per week usually equates to 5 sessions per week; 46 week model up to 25 hours per week; 50 week model up to 23.75 hours per week.
To provide flexibility for parents as per the guidance, sessions attended are defined through parental choice.
Depending on the provider depends on the model they offer; 44 providers offer term time, 9 providers offer 46 weeks, 1 providers offer 50 weeks, 9 providers offer a combination
